Job Title : Gaming Controller
General Definition: Manages the casino cash management, overall operating of capital budgets, revenue audits, financial accounting, internal accounting procedures, and tribal adherence is upheld. Provide operational guidance to the Accounting department and their assigned duties.
Supervision Received: General Manager
Supervision Exercised: Accounting Team
Essential Job Functions:

Ensure the processing and recording of the financial transactions which reflect all of the casino business at a facility level, i.e. revenue generation, accounts payable, payroll expenses in accordance to general accepted accounting principals.
Safeguard the gaming licenses and financial assets of the Casino using appropriate risk-management techniques.
Generate timely and credible comparative reports which provide insights into the financial results of the casino operations.
Develop and maintain a profit planning and/or budgeting system for future operations of the Accounting department at a facility level. Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs and take advantage of opportunities; coordinates and administers an adequate plan providing cost standards and saving opportunities.
Interprets and recommend changes based off month end, quarterly, and year-end reports of financial budgeting and future headcount needs of the department.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the National Indian Gaming Commission and other relevant laws, and regulatory agencies.
Provide analytical support to upper management team including new games analysis, financial analysis of proposed expenditures, lease buy decisions, and so forth.
Provides long term range planning, budgeting process and forecasting for the facility, by partnering with regional Managers, facility General Manager, and administrative Accounting department.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods. Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; requires normal vision/hearing range and intermediate math skills in order to perform assigned job duties correctly.
Must be able to work on a computer for two (2) continuous hours at a time.
Must have basic knowledge of MICs and TICs (preferred).
Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (required), casino based facility software (preferred).
Must be able to work varied hours, as needed including weekend and holidays.
Understand trend analysis, forecast financial and operational information, and make positive recommendations to casino management team and administrative Accounting division.
May be required to occasionally work in fast paced, noisy, smoke filled casino environment. Have good communication skills (verbally and written) and work in a team environment.
Exert strong analytical and critical thinking skills of financial documents.
Ability to produce reliable financial statements including but not limited purchase, profit, and loss statements.
Must have intermediate knowledge of GAAP and internal control standards.
Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
Masters in Accounting (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Training and Experience:
CPA certification strongly desired.
A minimum of seven (7) years of Accounting experience is required A minimum of five (5) years of management experience is required Experience in Gaming is required. Experience in tribal gaming is strongly preferred Completion of appropriate So You Want to Be a Supervisor level strongly preferred Current or past participation in the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce Fast Track Leadership Training Program may be substituted for any of the above listed experience at the discretion of the Chief Operation Officer and approved by the Chief Executive Officer and/or Governor.

Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
