Medical Assistant Front Office Job Opening in Tulsa, Oklahoma - Access Solutions Medical Group has several offices looking for front office medical assistants.
We know that front office medical assistants are indispensable to our medical facilities because they are responsible for managing patients? appointments and rescheduling along with ensuring that patients are provided with appropriate procedural education.
Greet patients as they arrive into facility and provide them with appropriate information
Answer telephone and guide callers regarding their questions
Schedule and reschedule patients? appointments
Cancel patients? appointments and provide them with new dates
Provide medical billing
Take and record patients? vitals
Obtain patients? information and record it in the database
Pull patients? records for review by provider
Arrange for hospital admissions; obtain records from hospital discharges
Direct calls and messages to appropriate medical office staff
Call up patients and remind them of their appointments
Manage filing and record keeping activities
Order supplies and forms for the medical office
Manage inventory of office supplies
Submit insurance claims
Update patients? insurance information
Ensure completeness and accuracy of patients? insurance forms prior to submitting
Processes patients for discharge including (but not limited to) preparation of charges, collection of monies, obtaining all necessary signatures, and issuance of receipts for monies collected.
Completes all necessary forms for registration to assure proper reimbursement.
Prepares daily deposit, reconciliation, and daily statistical information.
Assist with patient referrals and labs
Take and record patients? demographic location information
Initiate and maintain correspondence with patients and families
Liaise with insurance companies
Verify clients? insurance information
Knowledge
Medical assistants must have knowledge of:
Healthcare field and medical specialty
Medical terminology
Grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Skills
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
The ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections
Education
High school diploma; some college preferred
Medical assistant certification
