The Accounting Manager/Controller will manage the accounting department, providing information about all company activities that will assist management and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company?s future. Primary duties will include maintaining full accrual, GAAP compliant accounting records and financial statements; serving as the primary contact and liaison with the company?s accounting firm; ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and accounts payable, employee expense reports, fixed asset reporting and payroll administration; as well as overseeing the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable activity including billings, cash receipts and collections.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor?s degree in accounting or business and 5 -8 years of prior experience as an Accounting Manager/Controller. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization, including presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency using QuickBooks and ADP Payroll, including the time and attendance system.
