Shearwater Systems, LLC is a Mission Support Services and Facility Support Services company providing support to government and commercial entities. Position Overview:
Oversee the day-to-day development activities of assigned client projects including planning, prioritizing, coordinating with partners and subcontractors, implementation development, providing status to clients, resource planning, interviewing, preparing budgets and managing employees.
Responsibilities:
Train, coach and mentor development teams as well as customer representatives.
Responsible for working with client individuals and teams on their process ? improving their success as a team and their effectiveness with Agile and Scrum, resulting in a successful implementation for the client.
Ability to advise and coach project thread teams through Agile methodology (i.e. experience with Scrum of Scums and Agile at Scale).
Interface with clients on technical matters.
Develop and communicate project plans, priorities and tasks.
Occasionally provides hands-on development oversight for special projects.
Monitor progress on client?s projects.
Gather project status from employees, support staff and developers.
Provide formal training/project status to clients and the Program Manager in a proactive and timely manner.
Occasionally would participate in business development by reviewing RFPs, developing and reviewing proposals and meeting with potential clients and planning resources in regards to SAFE/Agile.
Escalate issues that will affect the success of the project or the relationship with the client.
Requirements:
US Citizen
Active Clearance is preferred
Minimum of eight years' experience in a related field, plus 4 years? with external customer training/coaching and development experience, these can be in conjunction
MS Degree in Computer Science or related field
U.S. Coast Guard, DHS or DOD experience required
SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPC4) certification
Analysis and architecture experience preferred.
Senior level JAVA/J2EE platform experience preferred.
Ability to evaluate assumptions and develop and adapt solutions to evolving problems using logical/critical thinking and a systematic approach
Excellent knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, software development methodologies and best practices
Experience with Agile and Extreme Programming is a plus
Flexibility with new/unusual approaches, commitment and follow through
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to multi task with concurrent tasks
Ability to prioritize work
Ability to delegate and track tasks
Ability to work independently as well as part of team
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with ability to tailor level of detail to specific audiences
Ability to lead effective discussions with clients and facilitate communication.
Possess outstanding facilitation and skills and lead teaching sessions for Scrum Masters, Product Owners and/or general Agile practices.
Experience leading large scale programs with multiple agile project threads
