Design Consultant/Sales Job Opening in Pelham, Alabama - Job Summary
The Design Consultant/Sales is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals while determining and understanding the needs and wants of our guests. This position is responsible for suggesting design ideas that incorporate functionality and aesthetics and assisting guests through their sales experience using knowledge of Summer Classics products, ordering system and inventory flow. This position is located at our Factory Outlet located in Pelham, AL.
Essential Job Duties
Sales ? Meets or exceeds sales goals set by management through in-store sales, in-home consultations, sales leads through outreach and events, designers and customer referrals.
Customer Service ? Welcomes our guests into the store by providing a friendly, informative atmosphere. Provides updates to the guests? order on a regular basis, follow-through after delivery and provides answers to product care, warranty, and Summer Classics sales and programs.
Inventory Management / Information Systems ? Accurate input of all custom sales for customer.
Merchandising ? Assists in the implementation of the sales floor plan. Merchandises accessories and rooms within the store.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
One year of experience in design or retail environment minimum required
Knowledge of the design industry including knowledge of fabrics and applications and general design practices preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred; Four-year degree in Design, Industrial Design or trade membership in Design field highly preferred
Technical knowledge of space planning and ability to use planning software preferred
Problem solving skills and positive, professional demeanor are required
Ability or aptitude to sell luxury products
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Good computer skills ? knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word required
Job Type: Due to the growth of our company we have part-time and full-time positions available
Salary:
$10/hr plus commission
