Mental Health Specialist (Integrated Care) Job Opening in Eugene, Oregon - The Mental Health Specialist will be part of a team of practitioners including physicians, nurse practitioners and nursing staff. This position will provide consultations, perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide short term and crisis intervention services as well as education and support. Performs initial assessments by interviewing patients, and conducts records review to obtain information concerning patients? health metrics and stressors related to a medical diagnosis; plans and administers therapeutic treatment such as behavior modification and stress management therapy to assist patients in managing symptoms and underlying stressors. Communicates and coordinates treatment plan with primary care; evaluates crisis situations and applies appropriate interventions. Refers or provides patients supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling. Works with primary care providers to apply holistic procedures and therapies that address the inter-relations of physical and mental health. Participates in Quality Improvement or innovation activities.

$44,345 - $61,464 Annually

Requirements for this position include:
Oregon Health Licensure is required. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Education Information :
Master?s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
Experience Information :
Two years of responsible professional mental health experience, including one year of experience specific to the program or area of assignment.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
