Job Description:
ArchieMD is seeking a Senior Unity3D Augmented Reality (AR) Software Developer who is very passionate about AR and Unity3D. The role involves developing immersive simulations for training health professionals in medical procedures. These simulations involve enhancing the existing manikin-based training of health professionals, through AR/VR/MR technology. Accurate 3D models of human anatomy are overlaid virtually on top of the mannequin in the user's view, either through AR glasses or through a phone/tablet. The user has the ability to interact in real time with the Augmented Reality graphics and perform medical simulation scenarios. Some simulations also involve virtual graphics superimposed on live human beings. The Unity3D developer will be building the simulation apps for the AR glasses or phone/tablet. Candidates must have a solid computer science background experience that enables application of theoretical concepts to new technologies. The position offers a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge research in the field of AR.

What You Will Be Doing
Developing the future of medical technology by working on grant-funded research projects using cutting-edge technologies
Building 3D Augmented Reality medical simulations and experimental prototypes
Working in C# and Unity3D to create clean, organized, optimized, reusable code modules that can be used over and over again for multiple projects
Working with multiple 3rd Party SDKs to integrate AR/VR tracking, computer vision and haptics into Unity
Building amazing 3D simulations using the latest in AR/VR/MR technology
What You Need for this Position
4+ years working in Unity3D and C#
4+ years experience implementing 3D games and/or 3D simulations in Unity3D
4+ years experience working with animated and rigged 3D models in Unity3D
3+ years experience with C++, and fluent knowledge of OOP, design patterns, event delegates, asynchronous functions, data structures and algorithms
1+ years experience working with a team in a professional capacity,
Experience with Augmented Reality under Unity3D (ex: Vuforia, ARToolkit)
Strong eagerness to learn new technologies related to AR, VR, computer vision, haptics
High standards for work quality, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
Willingness to mentor junior employees
Preference for Candidates with
MS / PHD degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or related field
Experience with Computer Vision algorithms especially for 3D reconstruction and tracking (ex: SfM, SLAM, PTAM, EKF)
Experience with 3D Graphics (ex: OpenGL, DirectX, 3D matrix mathematics)
Experience with Android / iOS development
Experience with Shader Programming (ex: GLSL / HLSL)
Experience programming network protocols communication (ex: UDP/TCP, HTTP, Bluetooth)
Experience with 3D modeling tools (ex: Maya) is a plus
