My client is a family owned manufacturing company in SE Michigan providing fabricated parts and stampings to a variety of customers in industries from aviation to automotive. They are financially stable with a strong culture that rewards value driven team work while providing excellent customer service to their client base. They are growing, and have an immediate need to expand their sales team with an experienced sales professional.
As a member of the sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing an existing customer portfolio, as well as expanding your territory by closing new business and customers. The sales cycle can be anywhere from 12 to 18 months and requires tenacity and perseverance to hunt, cultivate and close new business. Goals are realistic and achievable with concerted effort, excellent follow up and time management skills.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:
Has sales experience in a non-automotive manufacturing environment involving stampings, plastics, welding, fabrication, tooling, fasteners and/or industrial sales
Has had previous earnings in the 125K range
Successfully closes new business and thrives on building a solid customer bas
Perhaps is burned out from extensive travel and would welcome an opportunity where travel is in a normal range of about 20%
Could be sick and tired of corporate red tape and bosses who are unrealistic and would love to work in a close, family owned environment
Has the wisdom of 20 or so years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment and has a desire to work another 15 years
Knows how to build relationships in the manufacturing world
Knows how to strategically identify and pursue viable new business
Makes building a strong pipeline a priority
This company offers a competitive and strong benefit package that includes excellent healthcare choices, 401K, ample car allowance, and a competitive bonus structure. The base salary is targeted in a range of 80K ? 100K plus commission, based on experience and prior success. Likely first year earnings will be approximately 100K ? 120K.
