Engineering Business Analyst Job Opening in Lenexa, Kansas - Engineering and Design Technology Mid-Level Business Analyst
The purpose of this position is to provide Technical Business Analyst support for KEGI. Typical Business Analyst support areas include: Managing software development requests, Business Initiatives, Tableau development, and Project/District Support.
Key Responsibilities include:
Formulate and implement business process workflows, requirement specifications, design specifications, test and user-oriented documentation.
Analyze and model existing business processes.
Participate in Functionality Testing, Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Identify and resolve problems.
Work with the Development Team in the development of new functionality:
Ensure development/change process is followed
business and development requirements
Assist with system design solution
Perform peer review of user stories
Assist with user testing and training
Ability to coordinate work on multiple projects simultaneously at different stages of the project development process.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.
Qualifications:
Education Level: BS or equivalent experience
Computer Science, Engineering, IT Technology or Technical Related Degree
Years of Experience: 5+ years
Required SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent communications skills
Engineering document and process knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft office applications
Working knowledge of Microsoft project
Knowledgeable user of Microsoft?s Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) or equivalent software
Knowledge working in an Agile environment and writing test cases/scripts
Preferred SKILLS/Courses:
Project management and requirements gathering/analysis
Engineering document and process knowledge
General knowledge of engineering and design tools
General knowledge in business analysists work related to web development
