Software Engineer Job Opening in Danbury, Connecticut - Ridgefield One has been contracted to help fill a number of new positions with a growing Cyber Defense company in Fairfield County, CT.
The Associate Software Engineer helps to support and develop the company's base application, centered on secure one-way data transfer, including designing, developing, monitoring and troubleshooting proposed features as directed by the application team lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop and test new software applications, including preparing proposals to outline development as directed by the application team lead Work with application protocol interfaces
Develop and maintain knowledge of application layout and options
Monitor and report application errors and design and deploy troubleshooting measures and solutions ? recommend solutions
Work effectively within a team environment
Support the company Product Development Life Cycle. Assist with the PDP documentation that defines the functionality that you will implement. Track open issues and assist in future release planning
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must authorized to work in the U.S.
Any previous security clearances a plus
1-3 years? experience
College degree in a relevant field of study, e.g. computer science, system engineering or related engineering fields. Advanced degree a plus.
Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Literacy in C, C++, Python, and Bash
Experience designing and developing programs
Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
Bash and Python scripting
Experience with debugging software, like gdb
Experience with unit testing frameworks, like CUnit and unittest
Web development, like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of networking protocols
Experience with version control software (i.e. Git, Subversion, CVS) a plus
Experience with agile development a plus
