EHS Coordinator Job Opening in Lexington, Kentucky - Our client, a Japanese automotive manufacturer located in Central Kentucky, is seeking a driven and knowledgeable EHS Coordinator for their facility. In this role, the EHS Coordinator will be responsible for duties including but not limited to: reporting requirements such as Tier II, TRI, GHG, OSHA logs, storm water and wastewater DMR?s. Maintaining SPCC/SWPPP, ISO 14001 program and recertification, identifying sources of non-compliance & preparing countermeasures or recommending improvements. This position will provide back up to the Health and Safety Coordinator, for vacation , therefore the successful candidate must have a good working knowledge of all related health and safety programs such as LOTO, confined space, machine guarding, safety devices, and the skill to train employees.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental or closely related field
Minimum of 6 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment (Japanese preferred)
Reporting experience with OSHA 300 logs Tier II, TRI, and SPCC/SWPPP
Must have ISO 14001 experience, lead auditor preferred
Knowledge and experience with LOTO, machine guarding and confined space
CIH or CSP certification preferred
CPR certified or must obtain within 6 months
Knowledgeable of of environmental science protocols/methods
Knowledgeable of EPA regulations and internal environmental policies/practices.
Ability to interpret, monitor and implement federal/state regulatory requirements
Must be proficient in computer software including MS Office
Must have excellent work habits including willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, meet or exceed deadlines, multi-task effectively and work in a fast paced stressful environment. Must possess excellent organizational skills, investigative, judgement, problem solving, analytical, communication, decision making and interpersonal skills.
Company offers an excellent benefits package with a salary in the $60-65,000 range.
