Our client, an established Northeast OH based software developer for the entertainment industry is looking to add a Software Quality Engineer to their group of seasoned product development professionals.
Position Description
The Jr. Software Quality Engineer (SQE) performs complex testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing (development of both manual and automated testing) to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.
Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated test cases, as well as performs back end data validation.
Track test progress and results in test management tools.
Facilitates troubleshooting and solves problems.
Communicate, Investigate and report project issues with product, developers, product management, technical project management and technical support specialists on product issues.
Operate under general supervision and report to the Software Quality Engineering Manager.
Analyzes and ensures requirements acceptance criteria are acceptable for test case creation.
Supports Production and Pre-Production based testing to validate core infrastructure and partner application changes
Formulate test plans including systems analysis, risk analysis, dependency analysis, writing and plotting test strategies, and determines how to report defects (pre/post- production).
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline is highly preferred.
Knowledgeable in automated testing frameworks and tools
Experience with scripting languages
Experience with, or interest in software development
Agile Development experience is a plus
Experience or interest in Software Products is a plus
Experience in a regulated software application industry is a plus.
Good communication skills with attention to details
