Requirements as a Safety Field Auditor:
Safety experience in the construction industry
OSHA 500 certification
Pass a background check and drug test
Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record
Able to drive long distances
Tasks Required of a Safety Field Auditor:
Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs.
Review and interpret plans, blueprints, site layouts, specifications, or construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
Monitor installation of wiring or equipment to ensure that installation is performed properly and is in compliance with applicable regulations.
Evaluate project details to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
Inspect and monitor sites to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, or specifications.
Confer with owners, violators, or authorities to explain regulations.
Verify availability or monitor use of safety equipment, such as harnesses and traffic cones.
Evaluate situations or make determinations when a worker has refused to work on the grounds that danger or potential harm exists.
Be able to drive between Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro.
Must be up to date on all safety regulations in a construction setting.
Able to utilize attention to detail to find and correct problems during on-sight visits with our employees
Enforce job safety at all times
Knowledge of databases, Microsoft Word/Excel and a decent handle on navigating computers
Knowledge Required of a Safety Field Auditor:
Building and Construction ? Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
English Language ? Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Customer and Personal Service ? Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Law and Government ? Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
Work Activities Required of a Safety Field Auditor:
Getting Information ? Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material ? Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards ? Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Information ? Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge ? Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
