Employment Consultant Job Opening in miami, Florida - Employment Consultant �Stand Among Friends� is looking for qualified bilingual professionals to join our Employment Services Department as Job Developers / Employment Consultants. We provide employment services to individuals with disabilities referred by Vocational Rehabilitation in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor�s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field and two (2) years experience working with individuals with disabilities. A valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record. Background check by Florida Department of Law Enforcement and drug screening is required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Support individuals with disabilities by creating employment plans that fit their aptitudes, education levels, physical abilities, and career goals. - Create a strong communication channel between participants and their Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. - Provide employment search skills to assist clients in finding job opportunities. - Develop resumes and cover letters with our clients� input and participation. - Initiate employer contact and to develop job leads for placement - Collaborate with businesses and develop partnerships with employers to secure community based, long-term employment for individuals. - Follow up with individuals and their employers to secure successful employment placements. - Maintain participants� records and prepare follow up reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, contract requirements, and agency policies and procedures. It takes a very special person to be an EC, one who is professional, energetic, positive, an �out of the box thinker,� capable of multitasking; is reliable, responsible, dependable, and works well under pressure. Most of all, this person must demonstrate a commitment to ethical conduct while helping individuals with disabilities to improve their lives.
