Clinician Scheduling Manager Job Opening in Canton, Ohio - Job Description
Develop, deploy & lead the development of resources required to manage clinician scheduling across the organization. Includes analysis and management of scheduling processes, leading development of clinician preference parameters, utilizing technology solutions, and data analysis.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage all facets of clinician scheduling operations while maintaining adherence to USACS standard scheduling policies and procedures
Develop and implement strategies to complete and post schedules 60 days in advance
Work to ensure the optimal utilization of clinician resources in accordance with contracted hours
Minimize avoidable premium pay and locums expenses through effective scheduling strategies
Proactively anticipate and communicate schedule impacts and provide timely mitigation strategies to leadership
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as, but not limited to: Clinician Leadership, Credentialing, and Payroll to develop, execute and monitor site schedules and appropriate codes to accommodate payroll calculation requirements
Own the maintenance of relevant operational metrics; communicate trends and applicable action items to achieve strategic objectives
Develop, produce, analyze, and share daily, weekly and monthly reports per a standardized reporting cadence
Oversee and support USACS locations integrating into the organization and/or transitioning onto the scheduling model
Develop cross training to ensure consistent scheduling staff coverage
Document scheduling standard process and develop policies and procedures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment
Demonstrated departmental, leadership and personnel management qualities, including staff development, resource utilization (staffing), excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in a high volume and stressful environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
Comfortable leading a team composed of both local and regional clinicians and non-clinicians
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of related experience
Knowledge of the healthcare industry and clinician scheduling
Experience creating/managing complex schedules
Demonstrated, solid understanding of scheduling applications tools
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $59,000.00 to $89,000.00 /year
