POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing accounting payable, accounts receivable and revenue auditing in the accounting department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervises accounting procedures.
Establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Assists Controller in the daily banking requirements.
Supports budget and forecasting activities.
Assists in developing and implementing of new procedures and features to enhance workflow of the department.
Ensures the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
Develops monthly and quarterly accounting reports for management and the executive teams.
Advises management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance.
Manages accounts receivable objectives and metrics, oversee maintenance and researches on AR past due. .
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Associates degree in Accounting or Finance.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) to Four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Some prior supervisory experience is preferred.
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Strong accounting skills and attention to detail required.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer-based accounting applications required.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills required.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) required.
Demonstrates consistency in values, principles and work ethic
Customer service orientation and strong presentation skills to internal and external parties required.
Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs
Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
Understanding of and commitment to client services
A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
Hospitality experience preferred
