Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and providing analytical support to management for product and project cost accounting and general division analytics. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the cost accounting system, including the development, installation and monitoring of cost control systems, and the interpretation and dissemination of cost accounting information.
Essential Functions:
Administer, calculate and communicate KPI type analytics for offices, product lines and other areas as mgmt. sees fit.
Administer and refine the Company?s standard cost accounting system.
Assist in month-end close, annual budgeting process and various balance sheet account reconciliations.
Assist the Controller with external audit requirements.
Monitor and review the job costing system and procedures to ensure the integrity of the inventory and accounting records.
Coordinate cost and accounting matters with other departments, locations, and/or divisions.
Provide detail support to the Controller in the preparation of monthly forecasts and monthly operations package.
Provide cost estimates to the business units for the preparation of sales quotes, engineering design decisions, and price book preparation.
Design, develop and implement cost reporting methodologies to enhance the Company?s ability to effectively analyze and review profitability issues for management using the Dynamics system, making recommendations to management for further improvements.
Assist Inventory Control Team in managing the cycle count process.
Analyze job issues, working closely with the President and Controller to support management decision making and continuous improvement projects.
Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in efficient and cost effective manners

Ensure appropriate amount of training and research to stay current with GAAP and current accounting trends
Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.

Strong MS OFFICE skills with a strong emphasis on Excel and other software programs.

Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance
CMA or CPA desired
