Job Description:
The Sr. C++ Developer designs, develops and implements software applications and makes enhancements to data systems with high transaction volumes and large data structures. He/She will Participate in the testing process through test reviews and code analysis. The Sr. C++ Developer will lead and direct the work of others as needed. The C++ Developer should have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work on a team with both junior and senior level programmers in a fast- paced environment. Key activities include:
Perform software development of new and existing applications, involving the integration of multiple enterprise platforms and data systems into a cohesive analytical database solution
Perform Unit, System Integration and Customer Acceptance Testing
Work with team members in diverse roles to develop and enhance applications and systems
Develop data processing and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) components on distributed database systems
Develop communications and API components for data and systems integration using socket-layer protocols, MQ, and common data formats (e.g., ASCII text, XML)
The Sr. C++ Developer position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. Additional requirements include: US citizen or Permanent Resident and must have lived and worked in the US for the past five years.
Required Skills/Credentials:
BS in Computer Science or related field of study
4-5 years of experience with C++, MQ, OCI, Oracle SQL, experience with UNIX Scripting (Perl is preferred)
5 years of experience with data systems with high transaction volumes and large data structures
Experience with code repository tool
US Citizen or Green Card holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with these platforms and development tools: PL/SQL, Oracle TimesTen Classes, SUSE Linux, Shell scripting (Perl Scripting preferred or, ksh, or bash or awk)
