IT Applications Software Developer (Oracle) Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - Summary: Evaluate, develop, modify, code, and test software programs to support internal programming needs. Provide support to applications users in departments throughout. Analyze, test, and debug applications and make modifications to current programs as needed. Document programs, including installation and maintenance. Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, and perform coding. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Develop and execute functionality and performance tests. Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supports design, programming or testing of one or more applications.
Responsible for maintaining multiple applications or several areas within a single application.
References and understands application and system documentation to support design, testing or programming efforts without assistance from more experienced IT specialists.
Reviews documentation as necessary.
Develops multiple areas of expertise in installation, design, configuration or specialized testing.
Applies knowledge of the users' operations, integration into IT standards and processes, and specialized training in the applications' use.
Provides and acts on feedback for possible improvements.
Works as a member of a larger team of individuals with more advanced skills.
Assists with the support of less experienced team members.
May obtain certification in industry standard toolsets.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience required
4+ years in IT application support positions with high-level problem solving experience.
Oracle Development Suite 10g experience required.
Oracle EBS Application R12 or higher experience required, manufacturing module experience a plus.
LINUX, MS Access and experience a plus.
Familiarity with troubleshooting and defining application solutions at a user level.
Previous experience in technical or customer support, IT operations, or related area.
Technical knowledge with aspects of specific application solutions.
Comfortable with varied aspects of a specific application or toolset.
Ability to solve problems quickly & automate processes.
Experience with advanced concepts of coding and SLDC processes and procedures.
Prefer certification in current industry development tools and standards.

Salary: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
