Job Summary: This position is responsible for client payroll processing; preparing and processing A/P, using QuickBooks. Employees in this job perform and oversee a variety of clerical accounting assignments. These duties also include but are not limited to: typing, filing, opening and collecting mail, photocopying, faxing, reception, and telephone duties. Assists and supports the management team in daily operations and board activities and functions.
Job Requirements: QUICKBOOKS experience is a MUST. High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years paid work experience in payroll, coding, and A/P duties. BA/BS with experience, a plus. Bilingual is desired. Experience with volunteer board; helpful.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently and as a team. Ability to type minimum of 45 wpm accurately required. Operate 10-key by touch. Accurate input essential.
Must be adept to operate general office equipment (i.e.: fax, computer, calculator, mail equipment, and copy machine). Ability to work with on-line tech support to resolve computer hardware and software problems.
Capable of using e-mail (internal and external) for communication and notification purposes.
Able to take verbal direction and accurately record on paper. Able to alpha and numerically file accurately. Able to proof documents and complete error free work. Advanced MS Word and Excel skill. Knowledge of QuickBooks.
Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and work effectively in ambiguous environments.
Able to maintain a professional and positive attitude in day to day and stressful atmosphere. Able to work with varied personalities. Must be able to interact professionally with staff and personnel at all levels.
Excellent verbal and written skills required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with change in task assignments is critical. Must demonstrate high level of confidentiality, integrity, and honesty. Excellent customer service skills.
Must possess and maintain a valid, in force driver?s license and acceptable driving record. Must carry at least the minimum auto liability insurance limits required by law.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to pass employment physical and alcohol/drug screen in accordance with Drug Free Workplace Policy. Must obtain and maintain required criminal records and health clearances.
