LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job Opening in Mandeville, Louisiana - Position is a full time position, Monday-Friday 5am-2pm shift. Weekends and/or holidays may be necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid Louisiana license; two years of experience preferred in working with an adolescent population.
DUTIES:
assist the Director of Nursing Services in the screening and oversight of the health care of all children assigned to their care.
2. To assist the Director of Nursing Services in education and training of staff and clients as directed in health care issues, policies, and procedures.
3. To provide emergency oversight of medical services as needed for clients and staff.
4. Assists as directed in the maintenance of systems and processes related to health care functions to include infection control, employee health, and other areas as assigned.
5. Maintains high standard of personal and interpersonal functioning in job performance.
6. To assist the Director of Nursing in other duties as assigned in areas related to the provisions of health care for clients and staff.
8. Responsible for administration of OTC and prescribed medications to youth. Responsible for ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately by nurse and youth during medication administration.
9. Serves as a liasion to consulting physicians and contractual healthcare providers.
