SCA Appraisal currently has an immediate opening for an Experienced Accounting Assistant. The selected candidate will have a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting with a minimum of two (2) years experience in accounting. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with the various departments throughout the organization. Experience or proficiency with Excel, Word and QuickBooks is a must. ADP Workforce Now and Human Resource experience is a plus.
The position is accountable for all day-to-day accounting operations. Accountable for the organization and analysis of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, or other financial activities within SCA. Assist the CFO with supervising and coordinating staff work activities, including but not limited to, training, coaching, directing, supervising and quality control. Weekly payables disbursements, monthly credit card reconciliations, cash posting, communicate with clients, vendors, state agencies. Assist with some HR duties as needed, to include recordkeeping, new hire orientation, payroll, management of employee benefits (vacation, sick pay, health benefits, bonuses, etc.). Generate miscellaneous reports for upper management, and perform other tasks designated by upper management.
