Sales Engineer Job Opening in Worcester, Massachusetts - We are looking for someone who loves new challenges and is passionate about eCommerce. ten24 Digital Solutions has an exciting opportunity to join a growing company as we build the next generation eCommerce platform, Slatwall Commerce (). Help us drive the business forward and work with clients like Sotheby?s, Scientific American Magazine, Total Wine & More, and Inc. Magazine to solve complex eCommerce challenges.
As the primary product and technical liaison to our clients and our internal development team, the Sales Engineer?s key activities will be to understand, design and document solutions for both potential and existing clients. This will involve following up on leads, conducting client calls, demonstrating the Slatwall Commerce Solution and preparing proposals.
The right candidate should be proficient at translating eCommerce business requirements into detailed functional requirements for efficient development and project completion.
The Sales Engineer participates in the business and technical relationship with the client and is tasked with creating innovative solutions for every client?s complex needs. This person needs to understand the business problem, be an effective communicator and able to create a solution that hurdles many obstacles.
The Sales Engineer will report to the President of the company and will engage with many company associates, including: Project Manager, Developer Manager, Application Developers, QA Manager.
As a Sales Engineer, you will:
Become an expert in the Slatwall Commerce platform
Interact directly with internal and external clients, providing a translation layer to marketing technologists
Be able to convey customer requirements to the Project and Development Teams
Support new clients throughout their implementations as the leading Solution Architect
Be comfortable communicating with and representing Slatwall/ten24?s brand with clients and partners.
Produce high-level visuals and diagrams of solution designs
Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
Approach all programs and clients with an understanding of their business, technology and marketing goals in order to provide sound development advice and create strong technology offerings.
Provide pre-sales support for bundled and custom solutions
Be responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
Be able to assist with functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Be able to assist with solution pricing process via the creation of technical LOEs (level of effort)
Travel for sales presentations and initial Statement of Work (SOW) definition and Business Requirements Document (BRD) gathering session(s)
Be available to represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Collaborate with the Marketing Director to maximize the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns.
Travel will vary but may reach 10-15%.
Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the challenges involved in managing a complex eCommerce business, including:
Product pricing and promotion
Inventory management
Fulfillment and shipping
Accounting and reporting
Customer service * Broad technology knowledge, having worked software development projects, systems integration efforts and/or database systems.
Experienced as a Business Analyst or eCommerce Manager that has understood business and technical requirements.
Ability to share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, clients, partners and technical resources in clear concise language in the vernacular of each group.
Education: BA or BS Degree in CS, Information Systems or 5 + years of work experience in IT project management, eCommerce management, and/or business analyst experience.
Compensation : Base salary plus commission. Excellent benefits package
