Outside Sales Engineer Job Opening in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan - EFC International is looking for a Outside Sales Engineer for their Detroit, MI location. The perfect candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, superior communication, strong analytical skills, a self-starter, and the ability to work in a team atmosphere effectively is critical.
The Outside Sales Engineer is responsible for selling fasteners and specially engineered components to automotive and Industrial OEMs as well as other distributors within an assigned territory.
Duties will include:
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
Proactively conducts strategic account reviews with all assigned customers on a regular basis to review services or products needed in alignment with agreed business goals.
Manages, supports and retains accounts through the development of strong relationships with key decision makers and users within an organization, including purchasing, engineering, management, manufacturing, and quality departments.
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads and contact these prospective customers as assigned to meet agreed business goals.
Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features
Provides technical product support to customers; introduces engineered product solutions into customer applications.
Is knowledgeable of features and benefits of key products and product lines.
Develops and design new or modified fastener concepts and products to meet application requirements and provide engineering solutions for customers.
Analyzes and provide input to assess the benefits and technical feasibility of concepts and products.
Develops design specifications and parameters, testing to validate design concepts.
Engineer activity to correct significant design defects, obtain significant cost reductions, or achieve significantly enhanced function or performance.
Works with customers and suppliers to test design and trial product in application through simulation or prototype-builds to validate and assure product quality and/or design specifications meet application requirements.
Interacts with Product Management, Purchasing and Quality departments to provide and/or seek support on assembly projects, cost initiatives and quality concerns.
Quotes prices and credit terms.
Works closely with paired inside sales partners.
Utilizes EFC?s CRM system.
Utilizes SAP system as
Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
Prepare status reports such as activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
Tracks stock (inventory) levels.
Coordinates customer training.
Attends trade shows.
Follows EFC policies, guidelines, processes, work instructions and procedures.
Possesses and follows behavioral competencies and necessary skills to achieve overall company desired results and expectations.
:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel: Will travel the assigned territory consisting of parts of Michigan and Canada.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
