Staff Accounant
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for working with hospital CEOs to ensure their accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and Hospital accounting policies. The successful candidate for this position will be able to coordinate the business system functions of the facility?s revenue cycle, reimbursement, accounts payable & payroll with the general ledger to support the monthly financials. Specific duties include journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, month end, general ledger processing, and consolidation and external audit support. The analyst will also provide account analysis and reporting, The Senior Hospital Accountant will also be involved with centralized accounting practices, financial planning, financial analysis, internal controls, reporting throughout the organization, development of financial strategies, controls, planning and policies.
The ideal candidate is an integral member of the Corporate Accounting/Finance team and will report to the Corporate CFO through the Corporate Controller. We are looking for a professional with a strong knowledge in the following areas: Financial Administration, General Accounting and Financial Reporting. Experience of Medical Revenue Cycle Management and Medicare/Medicaid (Cost) Reimbursement & Reporting is desirable. We require a min. 5 years previous experience (preferably in a Healthcare environment); Bachelors in Accounting/Finance required, MBA or CPA preferred.
