Dental Clinic Manager Job Opening in Eau Claire, Wisconsin - The Dental Clinic Manager will supervise and monitor the dental clinic, program management and operations of the clinic, care of the dental patients, supplies, patient education, communication with patients, the dental volunteer schedule, the budget, administrative roles, regulatory issues and new dental service coordination.
This position is part-time (10-15 hours per week). Experience in managing dental clinic operations required and WI Registered Hygienist license preferred.
Accountability: Accountable to and receives direction from the Executive Director and works in partnership with Clinical Director and Dental Director as it relates to dental responsibilities, volunteers, and patients.
Requirements:
Two years or more of experience in providing dental services
Experience in managing dental clinic operations
Registered Hygienist licensed to practice in Wisconsin - preferred
Experience in community-based healthcare setting; knowledge of community resources
Strong communication and assessment skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
Must be available Tuesday evenings and some Thursday mornings - other working hours are flexible
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership in developing and maintaining standards of care.
Develops and maintains dental scope of practice.
Assist with dental volunteer recruitment, training and tracking
Prepares the dental clinic to serve patients each week.
Ensures that patients receive follow-up services such as medications and referrals for specialty care
Oversees patient tracking system; follow-up procedures, clinical protocols and referral arrangements.
Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPPA.
Ensures Dental Clinic meets all regulatory requirements.
Documents appropriate liability insurance licenses of dental volunteers.
Monitors dental supply needs and organize operatories.
Designs patient flow in coordination with other services.
Prepares monthly report for Board and yearly dental report for Annual Report
Serves as lead person representing dental services in absence and in coordination with the Dental Director.
