Web Developer Job Opening in Portland, Maine - Elephantotes is a home organization and inventory system that is currently in development. We are a small team with a well researched solution and we are looking to add developers for the initial build of our minimum viable product.
We have designed the framework of a user interface which will allow potential customers and investors to interact with a sample home inventory but need a programmer with the technical skills to bring this concept to life. Our goal is to have this completed within 30 days of hiring a developer.
Once we have achieved that, the plan to continue to build towards a system in which customers are able to enter and organize their own items. The fully realized product will run on mobile devices as well as computers and contains a number of other exciting features. People who are creative and excited about this vision will have many opportunities to continue to work on this project as it continues to grow.
Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equal amount of relevant experience in this field
-Significant experience with Java, C, C++, or similar language
-Ability to work independently and strong problem solving skills
-Demonstration of proficiency through sample code or portfolio will be expected
Additional Relevant Qualifications:
-Familiarity with mobile application development
-Some knowledge of database management is a plus
-Understand of Lean/Agile software development principles
We are only considering candidates within a two hour radius from the Portland area at this time as face-to-face communication will be important. Working schedule is flexible.
