Sales Support Job Opening in Brookville, Indiana - POSITION OVERVIEW
Position is responsible for performing sales and customer service functions for targeted markets where rubber and plastic extrusions are utilized. Key components include responsibility for new business development and managing relationships between current and prospective customers.
FUNCTION
Contact current, past and prospective customers to sell and explain products, perform account maintenance and solicit new business within the market area
Initiating and following up with customers to sell or resolve problems, answer questions and correspondence
Conduct research on prospective customers, industries and markets
Help in solving customer complaints and issues
Prepare and present proposals and/or quotes and recommend products based on customer needs
Record customer inquiries by documenting inquiry and response in customer accounts
Improve quality service by recommending improved processes
Compile reports to show market changes, sales and orders both current and future
Responsible for understanding the customer?s business in order to develop long term relationships at various levels
Recommend customer pricing which supports profit and volume objectives
Where needed, hand off developed contact to sales management if personal visits are required
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in related field of study.
Minimum of 3+ year(s) experience in sales/customer service areas
Ability to interact with all company functions including engineering, production, purchasing and finance
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
Goal and results oriented; consistently acts with a sense of urgency and drives execution
Ability to multi-task and push several projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to learn and to improve existing processes
Travel to Killbuck, Ohio plant may be required periodically to meet with specific customers based on need. No other travel expected
Experience in manufacturing environment helpful.
Strong attention to detail with good planning and organizational skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
