Clinical Communications Coordinator Job Opening in Bellevue, Washington - The Clinical Triage Specialist position involves fulfillment of on-call triage responsibilities related to identification, evaluation, management, and coordination of organ donation referrals and all related documentation. This role provides triage services to hospitals located in the designated service area.
This position is based in our Bellevue office and primarily will work over the phone with our hospital partners. This position will have limited to no patient or donor contact in person, but will assist the process over the phone and perform remote patient chart evaluation.

General Responsibilities:
Takes 24 hour call to be available for organ donor referral phone calls and triage activities associated with organ donation.
Receives and screens potential organ donor referral phone calls.
Provides family support to potential donor and donor families over the phone as needed.
Obtains authorization or disclosure with first person authorization and conducts a donor risk assessment questionnaire (DRAI) with appropriate surrogate of the potential organ donor over the phone.
Support Organ Recovery Coordinator remotely on authorized cases with data entry.
Coordinates and performs ongoing evaluation of referred potential organ donors remotely and over the phone.
Communicates organ donor referrals and related triage activities with the manager on call.
Collaborates with donor hospital staff, recovery partners, and LifeCenter teams to facilitate successful donation outcomes.
The Clinical Triage Coordinator will follow other and will perform other related duties as required by the needs of the company and the management team.
Qualifications:
BS in Health Science or related field preferred.
Certification in medical assistant, LPN, or related preferred. Must be familiar with medical terminology and medical chart review .
Two years emergency or critical care experience in healthcare setting or hospital preferred.
Must demonstrate operating knowledge of computers and smart phones with a demonstrable, intermediate level skill (at a minimum) with email, Word, Excel, and other comparable software programs.

Must be able to analyze and assess situations, create solutions to solve problems and motivate others to continually improve the processes necessary to meet organizational deliverables.

An ability to accurately present the donation process in formal and informal educational opportunities.
Must be compassionate, conscientious, ethical, and possess effective interpersonal skills that allow him/her to have effective communication with health care professionals and donor families.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and 12 hour shifts.
