Patient Account Representative Job Opening in Hatboro, Pennsylvania - Patient Account Representative Job Summary:
The Patient Account Representative is responsible for a variety of functions: the follow-up of insurance claims (accounts receivable and collections); these include, but are not limited to reimbursement, cash and denial application of assigned third party accounts.
Experience:
We prefer two (2) to five (5) years? experience with basic to comprehensive Medical Collections background, preferably within a hospital setting. However, we will consider individuals who have completed medical billing and/or coding programs, as well as people who are energetic, personable and eager to gain experience in the healthcare field. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Education:
Some college preferred; coding/billing certifications STRONGLY preferred.
CRCS ? HFMA certification considered a PLUS for more advanced level opportunities.
