The Accountant II is responsible for the accurate preparation of financial data, in accordance with established procedures, State regulations, GAAP rules, and within the specified deadlines. Assists in the preparation of periodic numerous entity financial reports and analyses for senior officials, government units, and year-end audit work papers. . In addition, responsibilities include various complex analyses used to support financial statement preparation and operating budgets. This position has internal contacts with the entire organization, various banks, vendors, contract personnel and external auditors.
What you?ll do:
Prepare accurate preparation of financial data, in accordance with established procedures, state regulations, gaap rules, and within the specified deadlines.
Assist in the preparation of periodic numerous entity financial reports and analyses for senior officials, government units, and year-end audit work papers
Support financial statement preparation and operating budgets.
Maintain strong relationships with internal contacts with the entire organization, various banks, vendors, contract personnel and external auditors.

Meet annual requirements
prepare and complete monthly financial statements joint ventures
Provide necessary support, documentation and research to internal and external customers and/or agencies
Provide accurate source data for state, regulatory and accounting audits that result in no formal audit findings for the organization.
Completes documentation and input/reports to meet internal/external accounting requirements annual/periodic tax and other balance sheet items bank reconciliations vendor master maintenance - w9s other joint venture budgets other reports and projects provide necessary support, documentation and research to internal and external customers and/or agencies.
Complete financial analyses necessary to accurately complete taskskeeps abreast of changes occurring in health care industry.

What you'll bring:
Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college or university with course work in accounting, business administration or related field, verified with a copy of college transcript.
Five (5) years experience in Accounting. Healthcare experience preferred.
Experience analyzing and interpreting financial databases.
Competent use of financial software lockwood fixed asset software meditech operating budget suncoast hospice software.
