Senior Software Developer (Java) Job Opening in Daytona Beach, Florida - Adaptivestack Technologies Inc. is looking for a talented Senior Software Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
At Adaptivestack Technologies, a Senior Software Developer must be able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages. Must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments. Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary.
A Senior Software Developer designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming systems. Also, coordinates with Agile work teams. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in area of specialty and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. For this position, you will be supporting the VA in its efforts to provide provide sustainment support services to the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (JALFHCC) applications and the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) Pilot Implementation.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree required, AND a minimum of 8 years of equivalent work experience. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
8 years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies, such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Scrum/Kanban/XP.
Agile principles such as Continuous Integration (CI), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps.
Linux / Unix / Windows
Java / J2EE
Service Orientation Architect (SOA)
Web Services Description Language (WSDL) / Web Application Description Language (WADL)
Extensible Markup Language (XML)
Interoperability & Performance Analysis
Extensive use of Unified Modeling Language (UML).
8 years experience with large-scale enterprise environments where real-time monitoring of critical infrastructure is fundamental to operations and compliance.
8 years hands-on experience using monitoring tools to identify, isolate, troubleshoot and resolve application, system and network problems.
Technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience. Strong data analysis skills.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite required, including MS Visio.
Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
