Cash Application Specialist (Cash Posting with Deductions Ex... Job Opening in Roswell, Georgia - Position Summary:
The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely posting of customer payments (ACH, check, wire) and the creation of customer deductions . This position requires someone with an analytical mindset who understands the importance of accuracy and attention to detail. Additional accounts receivable projects may be assigned by the Credit Manager as appropriate. Ability to work well independently without much supervision will be important to succeed in this position.
Job Responsibilities:
Retrieve customer payment detail from online bank or ACH detail to be used in the accurate and timely application of customer payments and set up of customer deductions.
Compile and distribute customer deduction detail to Deduction Analysts for further research.
Consult with customers, sales representatives, and/or customer service group to support the proper application of customer payments.
Retrieve and provide copies of invoices, customer payments, purchase orders, proofs of delivery, bills of lading, or other supporting documentation as needed.
Position :
Prefer bachelor's degree in accounting/finance OR 2-4 years of cash posting and deductions experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum new hire up to 3 years of experience cash posting on high volume customer accounts.
Prefer new hire up to 3 years? experience working in an accounts receivable role within a manufacturing, grocery, and/or big box retail environment.
Public accounting experience or business accounting/finance experience a plus.
Possesses a clear understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
Ability to work effectively with customers and sales representatives in resolving various accounts receivable issues.
Moderate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to multi-task, use good judgment to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Strong achievement focus and commitment to deliver results.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated clarity in spoken and written words.
Candidate should be Attentive to detail; Internally driven; Proactive; Ability to work well as part of a team.
