The Solution Consultant is the primary point of interaction for small to medium sized clients of APS. As a subject matter expert on Payroll, Time and Labor Management and/or Human Capital Management, the Solutions Consultant is responsible for coaching, guiding and helping clients resolve issues.
The Solutions Consultant is responsible for providing the client with professional guidance, identifying technical expertise support for the client from the client service team, and introducing new services to the client that may help with the management of the employee life cycle. The Solution Consultant will also partner with implementation on new client set ups.
Job Functions:
Interact with clients by phone/email and utilizing Screen Connect or Go-To Meeting, ensuring timely and accurate set-up and processing of all Payroll, TLM and HRIS related activities for assigned clients.
Communicate effectively with client as well as provide timely and accurate responses to the client.
Supports the team with client issues and new client set ups.
Supports others within the team to ensure team cohesion and excellent service.
Provide professional guidance to support clients by:
Provide ongoing client support with the use of diagnostic skills to identify root cause of client issues, develop solutions and recommend appropriate action to prevent recurrence of problem.
Research problems and demonstrate strong ability to independently resolve, investigate and analyze simple to complex problems.
Use diagnostic skills to identify root causes of client issues, develop solutions and recommend appropriate action to prevent recurrence.
Complete additions to clients? company master, such as deduction, earning and tax code set ups.
Identify and develop a Statement of Work when the Client requires additional billable services as defined in the APS Billable Services Guidelines. * Ensure data integrity for clients and APS:
Client database accuracy:
Complete pre-process audit procedures for assigned client base taking corrective action when needed as compliance requirements change.
Maintain and audit for compliance, the company level data settings including earnings, deductions and taxes and banking.
Ensure all weekly audit reports are reviewed and appropriate action as well as client communication is completed. Clients are in balance by the last day of the quarter for reconciliation by the tax department; tax department notified regarding issues that may impact tax filing.
Client data change requests are updated promptly; appropriate approvals and documentation are obtained and stored in CRM.
Data exports related to retirement plans are thoroughly reviewed with the client for accuracy and balanced.
APS data integrity:
Utilize and update CRM when needed to effectively document client communications, contacts and issues.
Follow operational policies, processes and procedures.
Foster Client Independence:
Ensure the Client is well trained, functions independently and processes on schedule.
Point client to training tools following APS protocol.
Support Client Retention:
Prioritize work so as to provide accurate and timely responses to APS clients, the first time.
Proactively communicate with and foster relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
Support client longevity:
Research and understand the client?s database to suggest additional services that may help the client in the management of the employee life cycle.
Perform monthly check in calls to measure client satisfaction and provide any needed assistance. * Interacts with APS staff and other internal departments, as applicable, to answer questions and resolve issues.
Demonstrates integrity, ethics, accountability, responsibility, initiative and teamwork at all times.
Performs all assigned job duties in accordance with Company policies, procedures and standard practices.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
The Solution Consultant position will work in the support of and under the direction of the Implementation and Services Manager and must be capable of performing in a responsible and efficient manner the techniques and tasks that are assigned. The Solution Consultant must also be familiar with software (MS Office Suite, HRIS, Outlook, Payroll, TLM and Personal Computer operation.)
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Business or related degree is preferred.
Certification: SPHR, PHR, SHRM ? CP, SHRM ? SCP, FPC or CPP certification preferred.
Industry Experience: Minimum of the (3) years of experience in client service excellence with knowledge of workforce management products preferred. Minimum of three (3) years? experience working with client web based technologies preferred. Minimum of three (3) years? experience working with integration or implementations of cloud based systems preferred. Minimum of three (3) years? experience in software implementation preferred. Experience in client service support in Payroll, HR or TLM software. Proficient in Federal and State employment laws and regulations. Working knowledge of accounting packages and time and attendance solutions preferred. Federal, State and local tax reporting compliance. Knowledgeable regarding pretax and deferred compensation plans and compliance.
Skills & Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Possesses a passion for helping others. Proven analytical and creative problem solver. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products, such as Word, Excel, etc. Must work well as a team member and individually.
Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentially both internal and external to the organization.
