Accountant Job Opening in Russellville, Kentucky - SUMMARY
Responsible for cost control for the company, including Profit and Loss analysis, Inventory Control and Production reports. Accountable for the correct and timely processing of the company?s receivables, payables General Ledger and payroll.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Publish monthly P&Ls and Forecasts in accordance with corporate requirements ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review and consolidate monthly production performance. Prepare and publish monthly production reports including monthly productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness analysis.
Supervise monthly cycle counts. Make appropriate inventory adjustments. Prepare and publish monthly shrink and obsolesce reports.
Review and consolidate monthly sales activity by making appropriate and necessary G/L adjustments. Prepare and publish monthly sales register, sales performance analysis and actual-to-budget reports.
Review all expense and purchase records for appropriateness and accuracy. Approve and submit to A/P for processing. Summarize monthly payroll expenses and publish efficiency and actual-to-budget reports.
Manage pre-paid schedules and expense accruals. Approve qualifying expenses and make appropriate monthly adjustments to the General Ledger.
Monitor daily funds position and prepare bank reconciliations statements.
Review weekly payroll for accuracy. Submit to A/P for processing. Summarize monthly payroll expenses and publish efficiency and actual-to-budget reports.
Perform A/R Accounting, cash posting and collection activity. Accountable for the successful collection of all open balances.
Review product Bills of Material and Routings yearly standards. Publish monthly cost reports including actual to standard variances and raw material fluctuations.
Calculate and publish monthly variances including PPV, Production, Inventory and analysis.
Assist in the preparation of the yearly budget, overhead calculation, sales analysis, and new product costing as required.
Assist in any and all functions, as requested, to insure the successful operation of the Division and achievement of corporate objectives.
Maintain fixed asset list.
Preparation of Corporate tax returns and preparing quarterly and annual supporting schedules as required.

Job Skills Required:
Degree in Accounting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
Working knowledge in an ERP environment preferred.
Professional communication skills, both written (email, analytics) and verbal (presentation meetings).
A team player, who is willing to step above and beyond to achieve required results.
Willingness to accept new responsibilities in order to further growth within the Company.
