Accounting Manager Job Opening in Lexington, Kentucky - Our client, a Japanese automotive manufacturer located in Central Kentucky, is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Accounting Manager . The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the organization by developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial documents. The Accounting Manager oversees activities including but not limited to: financial objectives through forecasting; preparing annual budget; payroll; inventory; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
The ideal candidate must have automotive manufacturing, payroll, month-end closing, inventory management, and budgeting experience. They must be trustworthy, ethical and have excellent communication skills. Must have excellent work habits, including willingness to work the hours necessary to get the work done. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and produce high quality accurate work. Must be self-motivated and proactive to manage multiple tasks and projects with strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to change quickly.
The successful candidate will be expected to have the experience, credentials and abilities below:
Bachelor?s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
CPA/MBA/CMA preferred.
Must have GAAP/SOX or internal audit experience.
5+ years? experience in supervisory role in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
3+ year in a Japanese automotive manufacturing environment
5 years? experience working in manufacturing firm with an integrated ERP/Financial system.
Company offers excellent benefits with a salary range of $75-80,000.
