Inventory Accountant Job Opening in Louisville, Kentucky - This is a temporary position that could possibly lead to a full time position for the ideal candidate after proving their worth on a temporary basis.
Manage the cycle count program. It should be robust enough to satisfy auditor?s requirements (such that wall-to-wall physicals are not required). Make recommendations.
Investigate and resolve inventory variances, submitting to President for adjustment approval
Review, at least weekly, inventory by stockroom, looking for problems in transitional locations, such as ?360?, or outside service locations. Make recommendations with regard to operational procedural changes that could result in fewer errors.
Frequently walk the warehouse, looking for damaged goods, returns not put away on a timely basis, components of completed display projects that may need to be adjusted out of inventory, etc., resulting in appropriate management action and inventory adjustment.
Reconcile issues arising from backflush problems. Work toward a streamlined backflush process.
