Controller Job Opening in Covington, Kentucky - The Controller is responsible for administering the fiscal operation of the Authority including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, budgetary controls, and property assets as well as managing the Authority's information management system. Duties include:
Planning, organizing and directing all financial activities for the organization.
Development of internal controls and processes.
Overseeing financial matters related to grant funding ensuring alignment to strategic plans.
Developing and negotiating new business opportunities with third parties and monitoring service level agreements.
Managing the contract administration process.
Preparing fiscal operations reports for the Executive Director, Board of Commissioners and the Dept. of Housing & Urban Development.
Development of budget. Forecasting agency expenses and cash needs.
Overseeing timely and accurate fund disbursement, bank reconciliations, month-end ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, fixed asset files, etc.
Recommending purchase or sale of investment securities.
Overseeing procurement function.
Qualified candidates will hold BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Public or Business Administration plus 7 or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or financial administration, or an equivalent amount of training and experience.
Strong analytical, negotiating and problem solving skills.
