PROGRAMMER / WEB APPLICATION Job Opening in Morganville, New jersey - Programmer - Web Application Development
Summary : Publishing company seeks programmer to develop web application that will mesh proprietary software with legacy web system and Filemaker backend production system. Applicant must be familiar with Web Application development, PDF creation, FileMaker, Cloud storage and file storage protocols.
Responsibilities :
Supports organizational technical environment by performing programming for internal and external use, including websites, workflow processes .
Develop and maintain company website.
Contribute to the re-engineering of legacy Filemaker Production Systems.
Create documentation as development occurs.
Create unit tests as development occurs.
Aid in the creation of training materials based on the systems developed.
Maintain legacy business systems not slated for re-engineering.
Aid with system testing, troubleshooting and debugging to improve applications.
Education, Skills, and Experience Required :
Experience with LAMP development. PHP in particular.
Experience with AJAX. Strong Javascript skills in general.
Experience with HTML.
Strong SQL skills.
Experience with Filemaker
Experience PDF generation.
Comfortable working in a fast paced iterative development environment with hard deadlines.
Personable and able to work closely team.
BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
2-5 Years of Programming Experience, preferably in a Financial Firm
Display a passion and enthusiasm for programming at a high level

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
