Voucher Specialist (Affordable Housing) Job Opening in New York, New york - Reliant Reality Services, LLC is a real estate development company for the purpose of bringing revitalization and development to various neighborhoods in New York and other states by providing Affordable Housing with OVER 14,500 units. Reliant Reality Services is currently seeking a Voucher Specialist to their Team.
Reporting to the Director of Portable Vouchers, the Voucher Specialist will be responsible for the following:
Tracking annual lease renewals and annual physical inspections
Insuring all proper paperwork is completed and filed correctly with various Section 8 agencies
Coordinating with the proper staff at Section 8 agencies on any units whose payments have changed or are suspended to ensure prompt reinstatement
Communicating issues with on-site Property Manager as well as main office accounting and legal staff so all parties are aware of payment issues for each resident
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Must have at least 3 years previous work experience; and at least one involving Tax-Credit & HUD, LIHTC and Section 8
Must possess a Bachelors Degree
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft office applications: Outlook, Word and Excel are required
Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software a plus
