About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Merlin Magic Making Division of Merlin Entertainments plc for a Project Cost Accountant to be based at our office in USA Florida . Reporting to the Developments Finance Director, the key objectives for this role will be to provide accurate project cost budgets, actuals and forecasts; produce investment models for targeted new sites; complete monthly reporting processes and provide expertise and support to the Group Project Management Team, Site Search Team and the Chief Development Officer. This will include managing the financial inputs, consolidating project financials, developing an understanding of the cost and value drivers and challenging project delivery teams to ensure project forecasts are accurate and can stand up to detailed scrutiny. As the principle finance lead on capital projects these roles will offer a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders across different Merlin businesses to ensure all deadlines and targets are met.
About you
This is an exciting role for someone looking to join a totally unique company. The successful candidate will already be qualified accountants or have substantial experience of working in capital business and working towards a recognised qualification. This would be a good opportunity for someone already operating at this level or looking to step up into a more senior role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to manage multiple stakeholder relationships. This is a mainly office based role, but there will be a frequent requirement for you to travel within your region and occasionally internationally for on-site project meetings.
