Nurse Practitioner Job Opening in Columbia, South carolina - JOB DESCRIPTION :
Carolina HealthChoice is a growing medical center providing general medical care, pain management, and concierge medical services to patients and community residential facilities. We are seeking compassionate, energetic Nurse Practitioners in the Columbia area for both part-time and PRN positions. Successful candidate will be a self-motivated, team player who is comfortable working independently. This is a fantastic opportunity to care for patients while managing your own office. Position includes competitive salary and no weekends, holidays, or call. Experience preferred, but will train the right person.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES :
Clinical duties include:
Providing consultations, obtaining health histories, and completing initial exams. Performing selected procedures and documenting care. Assessing, initiating and coordinating patient care within the scope of delegated acts or readily available consultation of Clinical Director and Supervising Physician.
Managing the care of patients in collaboration with other members of the patient?s health care team, when required. This includes assessment, plan of care, of the treatment plan, and the evaluation of performance improvement activities and outcomes.
Providing clinical consultation and education related to the management and care of the patient?s symptoms. Developing a therapeutic relationship with the patient in order to maximize the patient's participation and treatment results. Educating and providing reinforcement for neuropathy patients and their families.
Maintains continuing education required for ongoing certification of APRN status.
Office Management duties include :
Providing leadership skills to the office staff such as coordinating patient needs, meetings with management, meeting physician and team member expectations, setting priorities, and networking.
Providing education, communication, and support for healthcare staff, patients, and families.
