Automation Development Engineer - SolidFire (43176BR) Job Opening in Wichita, Kansas - Job Summary:
NetApp is looking for highly-skilled Python developers to join our SolidFire Release Quality team. Strong background in Python programming and flexibility in a creative, fast-paced team are necessary in this role.
Essential Functions:
As a part of the team, this individual will be responsible for the following:
Develop and design testable, maintainable test automation software in Python
Participate in code reviews
Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers.
Job Requirements
The candidate should be self-driven with a strong background in Python programming and have at least 5 yrs in software industry.
Skills:
Experience across software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with distributed version control systems, e.g. git, mercurial
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment strategies.
Linux or equivalent Unix experience.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with Jira and other Atlassian tools.
Storage Systems experience.
Experience with virtualization systems such as VMware, KVM, OpenStack.
Education and Experience
* A minimum of 5 years of experience is required
* A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Masters Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required
* Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
