Senior Software Engineer Job Opening in Overland Park, Kansas - The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and implementation of software solutions. The Sr. Software Engineer will be an experienced developer, who has strong technical skills in C#, SQL, service oriented architecture (SOA), and web technologies. As well as, supporting the company?s business strategies, objectives, and requirements.
Responsibilities
Design and develop high quality software applications
Write testable, efficient, and well documented code
Support and work with Product Management team to understand complex business requirements
Perform analysis exercises to extract details from business and technical requirements
Create detailed tasks to support the creation of development plans
Provide accurate estimations, timelines, and prioritization for development tasks
Support the Software Development methodology, meetings, and team planned activities
Promote, follow, and utilize established Software Development processes and tools
Support testing strategies and procedures (Unit Test, Code Review, Integration Test)
Complete all development tasks on time
Support deployment activities and processes
Work on bug fixing, enhancements, and improving application performance
Create software documentation (design, technical, support-system, end user)
Provide leadership and mentoring to other team members
Contribute to the well-being of the Software Development team
Qualifications
A minimum of 8+ years of hands-on programming experience
Strong skills with C#, development frameworks, JavaScript, and Web Apps (AngularJS, jQuery)
Experience with interactive and responsive design concepts (HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JS Controls)
Excellent with object oriented design concepts (interfaces, inheritance, dependency injection)
Knowledge and experience with service based architectural and design patterns (SOA, Microservices, Web API, MVVM, MVC)
Experience with Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP)
Strong SQL programming experience in MS SQL Server (stored procedures, T-SQL, schema design)
Applies technical and programmatic solutions to complex business requirements
Ability to accurately gauge and estimate efforts required to complete development tasks
Experience with Data Stores is preferred (full text Elastic, NOSQL, DTSearch)
Experience with container implementation (Docker) and cloud services platforms (Azure)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage timelines and tasks with superior decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
