Symmetrix Composite Tooling, Inc. in Bristol, RI, a multi-axis digital fabricator specializing in composites and serving progressive industries such as alternative energy, transportation, marine, art, and architecture, is seeking a part time full charge bookkeeper for our ever-growing business. We believe this is a 4-day/week position but could see it move to full time. This position will be responsible for handling the fundamental aspects of Symmetrix Composite Tooling?s financial recordkeeping, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivables, tracking & analysis of COGS, and reconciling of bank/credit card/loan statements.
The candidate should be proficient in the QuickBooks software, have a degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, and will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Candidate should be experienced with manufacturing ERP systems, purchasing, and job costing. Candidate must have experience with accrual based accounting practices, including the use of deposit liabilities and deferred revenue. Honesty, integrity, and sensitivity to private financial information are a must.

Capabilities
Proficient in QuickBooks, expert status a plus
Proficient with Job Costing, intermediate/expert status & utilizing QuickBooks a plus
ADP Payroll (Corrections and adjustments to staff in ADP such as remuneration, PTO, Direct deposit, proper withholding and benefits deductions)
Microsoft Excel
Primary Responsibilities
Accounts Payable, full cycle
Accounts Receivable, full cycle
Payroll, weekly tracking of hours & bi-weekly processing in ADP
Reconcile petty cash, bank account, credit cards, and loans
Prepare financial statements and reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and budgets
Maintain quarterly and annual budget, projected and actual. Calculate variances and report significant issues
Assist outside CPA with quarterly closing & tax return preparation
Purchasing
COGS & Job Costing tracking & analysis
Provide clerical and administrative support as needed
Attend weekly management meetings and contribute to the growing needs of the company
Point of contact with outsourced HR consultants
Safety handbook for shop floor
Evaluate and renegotiate benefits packages

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $16.00 to $22.00 /hour
