Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a Graphic Design Intern who has, or is currently studying in one of the following areas: Graphic Design, Computer Science, Communications, Computer Information Systems, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, Business, Business Administration / Management, or some other related field. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with prior knowledge of Web and Social Media Marketing. The chosen applicant will have a hunger to learn quickly and act swiftly! Time is of the essence. We will need applicants who can work well under pressure, without sacrificing technical or creative execution. This is an active learning environment; we do not expect our interns to know everything! If you want to be part of a professional graphic design team, this internship will give you that experience!This is an unpaid internship, but we will provide you with opportunities to grow professionally and gain valuable industry experience. If the chosen applicant performs well, there is potential for them to earn a more involved, paid position at GoFire.
As a graphic design intern for GoFire, you will:
Help our business grow by creating graphics for strategic communications and designing valuable resources for our customers, partners, and brand.
Use your creativity and graphic design skills to produce engaging visuals tailored to generate leads and drive user engagement on our website and services.
Collaborate with bloggers, social media marketers, web developers, and other graphic designers, to create fresh new content for our social media, website, and partnership assets.
Build and develop our brand by contributing ideas and material that will be featured on all of our channels!
Assist with fulfillment of marketing initiatives, including the creation and distribution of marketing materials.
Assist in creation of signage, circulars, mock-ups, email campaigns, online promotions, etc.
Broaden your skills by providing support to social media efforts; social media management.
Qualifications:
Ability to work 15 - 20 hours per week.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a must!
Creative visualizer who thrives on communicating and telling stories through beautifully designed content.
Ability to synthesize information and make images that accurately portray data and written text.
Must be a hard-working person who has an eye for design, thrives in a heavy environment, and can turn out high quality work on a dime.
A team player who is always willing to lend a hand?whether it falls within their job description or not.
Organized, punctual, and dependable with attention to detail, while still meeting deadlines and remaining ahead of schedule.
Ability to work independently, but take direction well.
Adaptable to changes in projects and priorities.

Required Equipment:
You will need reliable access to an internet connection, your own computer, and phone.
You MUST have access to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator on your own computer.
