Staff Accountant Job Opening in Columbus, Ohio - Staff Accountant is responsible to maintaining, correcting, and organizing accounting information and the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
· Prepare journal entries.
· Prepare financial statements for compilation engagements.
· Perform analytic analysis on comparative financial statements to satisfy inquiries pertaining to comparability.
· Prepare personal and business tax returns: Federal, State and Local returns
· Calculate and pay: sales tax, CAT tax, Federal Income tax, taxes pertaining to payroll, and workers compensation liabilities.
· Identify any discrepancies in financial statements to ensure accuracy.
· Prepare depreciation reports and apply any changes for additions and disposals.
· Must have strong Excel skills
· Energetic and team player
