Buyer/Procurement Specialist Job Opening in Canton, Ohio - The Buyer/Procurement Specialist will process purchase orders using IQMS ERP, expedite orders to meet deadlines, and foster relationships with vendors to continuously improve quality, cost, and delivery time of components, including terms & conditions. S/he will supervise administrative support resources, collaborate with engineering to manage & maintain appropriate inventory, and participate and/or lead cost analysis & improvement activities.
We are looking for a seasoned professional with:
3-5 years of experience in within a manufacturing environment (automotive a plus), strong time management, negotiation, decision making, problem solving, communication (verbal & written), and math skills.
S/he must be able to work independently, be detail oriented, have basic blueprint reading skills, and be able to travel both domestically & internationally as needed.
S/he must have a sound understanding of business law & legal contracts, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, and strong computer skills including ERP & MS Office is required.
