Accounting Clerk Job Opening in Medina, Ohio - Discount Drug Mart, Inc., an Ohio-based drug store chain, opened its first store in Elyria, Ohio in 1969. Gradually, we expanded throughout Northern Ohio and into central and southern Ohio with over 70 store locations and more growth planned. Our corporate headquarters and distribution center are currently located in Medina, OH.

Due to our continued growth, we have an excellent career opportunity for an Accounting Clerk that would be based out of our Medina Corporate offices. We are seeking a high-energy, team player.
ESSENTIAL :
The duties involved in meeting the purpose identified above include, but are not limited to:
Sales Report Auditing
Check store sales reports for accuracy
Account for and correct balancing discrepancies in store sales reports
Various administrative duties, i.e. filling, organizing
Corporate Office Supplies
Order and distribute office supplies throughout the departments
Account for supplies distributed via Excel Spreadsheet
Store Checks and Deposit slips
Maintain inventory on hand
Distribute to stores as needed
Cigarette Tax Stamps
Weekly cycle count of cigarettes and tax stamps
Weekly tax stamp order
Tax stamp refund requests as needed
Prepare reconciliation to go with the monthly tax return
Ticket Distribution for Special Events
Determine the distribution allocation for each store
Account for ticket distribution
Account for ticket returns
: Attention to detail, communicates effectively, ability to work with little supervision, growing knowledge of accounting systems and rules, and an understanding of business activities. Regularly verifies all work thoroughly and efficiently to ensure accuracy. Dedicated to the success of the team and driven to learn and stay current professionally. Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

AS400 software knowledge is a plus
