Advanced Practice RN (Nurse Practitioner) PART-TIME Job Opening in Albany, Georgia - General Nature of Work:
Under general supervision, performs advanced nursing functions and healthcare services in specialized areas. Operates under a written nurse protocol agreement with the delegating physician, conducts complete physicals, provides treatment, and counsels clients. Primary work will be in Family Planning including insertions of contraceptive implants and IUDs. This position may also require working some evenings and weekends during special events such as health fairs and responding to disasters. Maintains HIPAA standards related to Privacy and Security and provides exceptional customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate or Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as an APRN AND CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Public Health Experience
Training and experience with Contraceptive Implants & IUDs
Family Planning Experience including Pelvic Exams
Experience working with Multi-cultural populations, Bilingual (Spanish and English)
